Top Georgia scholarships in 2021
Woodrow Wilson Georgia Teaching Fellowship
- Eligibility: These Fellowships are open to college seniors, graduates, and career changers who have majored in and/or have 30 or more college-level credits in a STEM field. Applicants must have U.S. citizenship or permanent residency and have attained, or expect to attain, a bachelor’s degree by Spring of 2020. A cumulative undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale is preferred
- Amount: $10,000
- Deadline: There are three application deadlines: November 4, 2020; January 11, 2021; March 1, 2021
Ty Cobb Scholarship
- Eligibility: Undergraduate Georgia residents who are US citizens who have demonstrated financial need. Applicants must have completed at least 30 semester or 45 quarter hours of academic credits with a “B”
- Amount: Varies
- Deadline: March 1, 2021
Greenhouse Scholars Scholarship
- Eligibility: High school seniors who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and a legal resident of Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, or North Carolina. Applicants must have a cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above and demonstrate financial need (annual household income no greater than $70,000)
- Amount: $22,000
- Deadline: November 22, 2021 (Opens September 1)

When is comes to having a stellar state university system, Georgia is hard to beat. The University of Georgia consists of 26 higher education institutions. This impressive list includes nine state universities. nine state colleges, four research universities and four comprehensive universities.

Agnes Scott College
- Eligibility: Based on academic achievement, community service, leadership and extracurricular involvement
- Amount: $15,000-$25,000 a year
- Deadline: January 15
Berry College
- Eligibility: Coursework, grades, and test scores
- Amount: Up to $40,000
- Deadline: January 15
Emory University
- Eligibility: All applicants are considered based on merit
- Amount: Up to full tuition
- Deadline: November 15 (Early Decision I applicants should apply by November 1).
Georgia Institute of Technology
- Eligibility: Based on academic excellence, financial need, and major of study
- Amount: Up to a four-year, full-ride scholarship covering tuition, fees, housing, meal plan, books, academic supplies, personal expenses, and a stipend during freshman year for a laptop
- Deadline: October 1 for Georgia residents and November 2 for out-of-state applicants
Georgia State University
- Eligibility: Based on academic excellence in high school
- Amount: $$Up to $28,303 / year depending on in-state / out-of-state status

Morehouse College

Spelman College
- Eligibility: Grade point average, standardized test scores, community service and leadership. To be considered, admitted students must have a minimum 1330 SAT or 31 ACT and 3.8 GPA (weighted)

University of Georgia

- Eligibility: High academic achieving females
