Top Connecticut scholarships
Roberta B. Willis Need-Merit Scholarship Program
Eligibility: Connecticut resident who is a high school senior or graduate with a high school junior year class rank of 20% or better and/or at least 1200 SAT score or at least 25 ACT score. Must attend a Connecticut public or non-profit private college.
Amount: Up to $5,250 per year for full-time attendance in a 4-year program; up to $4,650 per year for full-time attendance in a 2-year program of study.
Deadline: February 15, 2022
Connecticut Building Congress Scholarship Fund
Eligibility: Graduating Connecticut high school students entering college-level programs in architecture, construction-related engineering, construction management, surveying, planning or other courses of study leading to associate, bachelors, or masters degrees in the construction field.
Amount: $2,500 – $4,000
Deadline: March 4, 2022
The Meriden Foundation Scholarship Program
Eligibility: High school seniors residing in the city of Meriden, Connecticut, or its surrounding areas and attending one of the following eligible schools: H.C. Wilcox Technical High School, O.H. Platt High School, or F.T. Maloney High School. Must be planning to enroll in full-time study at any certified undergraduate institution.
Amount: $1,200 – $10,000
Deadline: March 4, 2022
Nancy Camp Scholarship (by the Elisha Leavenworth Foundation)
Eligibility: High school graduates who are residents of Cheshire, Middlebury, Naugatuck, Prospect, Thomaston, Waterbury, Watertown or Wolcott, Connecticut, and that have maintained an academic average of “B” or better.
Amount: $5,000
Deadline: March 15, 2022
Robert T. Kenney Scholarship
Eligibility: Students of any age living in any one of the 64 Connecticut towns served by the American Savings Foundation. Scholarships are awarded primarily based on financial need. High school seniors must be ranked in the top 1/3 of their graduating class or have at least a 2.5 GPA. Current college students must have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
Amount: $1,000 – $3,000
Deadline: March 31, 2022
SBM Charitable Foundation, Inc. Scholarships
Eligibility: Full-time residents of Hartford, Tolland, or Windham County, Connecticut attending or planning on attending an accredited 2 or 4-year program in Connecticut full-time. Minimum 2.5 GPA or top 40% class rank.
Amount: $5,000
Deadline: March 31, 2022
The Wethersfield/Rocky Hill Rotary Club Helping Hand Fund Scholarship Awards Program
Eligibility: Any student living in Wethersfield or Rocky Hill, Connecticut may apply. The program is based primarily upon financial need. Additional factors which will be reviewed are academic work, character, interaction with fellow students and extracurricular activities.
Amount: $4,000
Deadline: April 15, 2022
Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford Scholarships
Eligibility: Applicants must be Jewish. Must be a current resident of the Greater Hartford, Connecticut region. Must be accepted or currently enrolled at an accredited institution of higher learning in the United States.
Amount: $1,000 – $3,000
Deadline: May 15, 2022
National Federation of the Blind Connecticut State Scholarship Program
Eligibility: Any legally blind, full-time Connecticut college student or graduating high school seniors who will be attending college full-time in the fall of 2022. All finalists must attend the entire National Federation of the Blind of Connecticut state convention, to be held in the fall.
Amount: Two finalists receive $3,000, two finalists receive $5,000, and one finalist receives $2,500.
Deadline: September 1, 2022
Day of Pride Scholarship
Eligibility: Connecticut high school seniors from disadvantaged backgrounds who show academic success, commitment to diversity, leadership, and documented financial need. Nominations are made by the Guidance Counselor’s Office at each Connecticut high school.
Amount: Full tuition at University of Connecticut
Deadline: October 30, 2022
